The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints headed by Jairus C. Perez, country director of Latter-day Saint Charities Philippines, suprised today SDO Balanga City and the office of the city mayor for their one- million worth of donations.
Present in this unexpected turnover ceremony were Mayor Francis S. Garcia, Ms.Tarra Pangdanganan, CEEDO-OIC,and some SDO personnel.
Dr.Ronnie S.Mallari, OIC-SDS, and Dr.Roland M. Fronda, ASDS of SDO Balanga City received the printing equipment and materials.
The said donations were composed of 200 bottles EPSON L3110 Ink in different colors, 1,500 reams of bondpaper A4 70 GSM, 23 units EPSON Printer L3110, and 150 units of Globe pocket wifis.
All these printing equipment and materials will be distributed to 20 schools.
The church leader explained that their members abstained one meal so they could contribute in raising funds intended for this purpose.
LDS Charities also donated wheel chairs and other assistive devices to City Health Office, and additional computers po for the 4 barangay learning hubs.
